Daz Rinko – a Hip-Hop artist from Memphis, TN – is known for his upbeat and positive jams, as well as his genre blending style.
With the release of his July 2016 mixtape "LIFTED”, Daz made nothing short of a memorable first impression. "LIFTED" showcased Daz's southern twist on the future bounce movement.
In August of 2017, Daz followed up his debut mixtape with a 6-track EP titled "Black Boy Joy". With this EP, Daz showcased a more honed sound, as well as addressed a number of issues that he and many Black men may face.
Daz’s most recent project – “Black Boy Joy 2: The Bigger Picture” – picks up right where his 2017 EP ends.
From touching on his battle with mental health to the ups and downs of life in Memphis, Daz has crafted a project that invites you in and showcases his authentic self. “Black Boy Joy 2: The Bigger Picture” was released September 2018.
He and his music have been featured on outlets such as Pigeons & Planes, Noisey, NPR, EARMILK, DJBooth, Mass Appeal, RESPECT Mag, The Hundreds, All Def Digital, and a number of others. The title track from his "Black Boy Joy" EP was featured on the Caleb McLaughlin-curated Spotify playlist "Black Boy Joy", as well as the "United States Viral 50" Spotify Charts and Spotify Netherland’s Factor Happy playlist. More recently, Daz’s single “Sweetie” was featured on Fresh Finds: Fire Emoji & Fresh Finds.
